He is a nice person, but based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Sal for a family law case. I felt that he did not advocate strongly enough for me, and there were several times when I was encouraged to simply agree to what the other side wanted rather than fight for my position. Unfortunately, I believe that approach negatively affected my case and ultimately cost me additional money in legal fees to address issues afterward. I also personally did not appreciate the emphasis on being a “Christian lawyer.” As someone who takes faith seriously, I think that kind of representation can create a certain expectation of trust, especially for other believers. A friend of mine also had a similar experience. He was told that he was likely going to lose an upcoming hearing. I shared my experience with him, and he ultimately chose different counsel. The attorney he hired was willing to advocate more aggressively for him, and he had a much better outcome at the hearing. Again, Sal was personally kind to me, but when it came to family law, I needed an attorney who would strongly advocate for my position, and that was not my experience with him. Please do not make the same mistake I made.
