Beach Law Practice

This was my first time hiring a lawyer for anything. Initially, her services were going to be covered under my Metlaw employment benefit. During that time she was very helpful and personable with my bankruptcy case. However, when I lost my job with the benefit, her entire demeanor changed. Helping me quickly settle my case was no longer the priority, making sure she got paid was. Communication was no longer informative or timely. Responses became very short with at least a week in between emails. What's more, despite knowing that I was struggling financially, she was more than happy to let me struggle to pay her than tell me about any of the free or discounted local legal services for situations just like mine. Even upon discharge, the only communication I got was an email with documents attached stating that the discharge happened and that her services were concluded. No specific details about the accounts in question or any information relevant to them. I can only assume that were we still working with Metlaw, she would've billed them for more than the retainer she charged me.

For my first time hiring a lawyer,I must say... This has been the most painless experience I've ever had...
