I found Mr. Purpi through the Unemployment Appeal Board's list of attorneys that charge a fee. From the beginning he just repeated back to me what I told him, did not prepare me for the hearing, being intentionally vague, and refused to tell me what questions he would ask me during the hearing stating that I would just know. He also told me he would submit the appeal packet with additional comments, which he never added, confirmed how much my unemployment would add up to, racked up a large bill and refused to put a cap on fees, contacted the appeal board multiple times for a decision without letting me know, which led to my receiving multiple decisions, and when we lost the hearing, which was a definite seeing how he was representing me, he tried to convince me to appeal further even though the process was taking an emotional toll on me. While we were at the appeal board stage it seemed like he was already preparing to appeal to the third department/higher court which I only later found out though he seemed to know from the beginning. When I needed to take a break from the appeal process and ultimately removed him from the case, he ended the call stating "Good Luck".
