Michael Mishic

Our experience with Mike Mishic has been nothing short of heartbreaking. He failed to fulfill the most basic responsibilities of the role, resulting in the child being taken from the only home he has ever known. From the start, it was clear that Mike did not take the time to truly understand the situation or prioritize the best interests of the child. He conducted a rushed and surface-level investigation, stating he “didn’t have the time” when asked to meet with the child. Despite our attempts to provide important documentation and offer insights into the child’s well-being, he dismissed our concerns without a fair hearing. The most devastating outcome of this negligence was the recommendation that the child be removed from the stable and loving home he has known since he was 3 months old. Mike Mishic failed to acknowledge the deep emotional bonds, routine, and support system that were essential to the child's happiness and security. Instead, he made a decision based on incomplete information and bias, disregarding the trauma this removal would cause. Communication with him was nearly impossible, as he rarely responded to emails or phone calls. The lack of transparency and engagement throughout the process was deeply unprofessional and ultimately harmful. We are left heartbroken and outraged by his actions. The lack of thoroughness and care demonstrated in this case had life-altering consequences for the child, and I strongly urge anyone seeking a competent and compassionate Guardian ad Litem to look elsewhere.
