I was represented by Michelle Bieber in the law firm for my divorce case. The overall level of service and value I received was decent, but failed to meet the standards I believe someone can expect for paying the kind of premium they ask for to legally represent a person's divorce case. Michelle did an on par job of representation. In terms of what she did well I believed she explained the divorce process and realistically framing what I could expect to receive that I had legal rights too. She also helped to inform me as succinctly as possible either my options or next steps to take. She did also work with me to waive some legal fees on certain billing statements. Where I think things could improve by both her and the law firm staff is mitigating the amount of follow up and research a perosn would has to do to become clearly educated on what to expect in an effort to avoid paying higher legal fees. Divorce drains a person physically, mentally and emotionally not to mention finacially. There were a lot of things happening as I navigated the divorce and mediation process and there wasn't a lot of proactivity (reminders of annual legal fee increases, better guided education on the divorce process without paying for the additional time to be educated, ongoing reminders of where we are at even if something has been explained before) and I was paid a high premium for legal representation. I don't believe the value of the service I received matched my monthly legal fees. As a specific example from my feedback, it would have been nice to have been notified of Michelle's changes in her fees at the beginning of the year. I did feel blindsided by the increase in her fees even if I signed a contract at the beginning of her representation stating I accept all increases. More proactivity as a reminder of those little changes goes a long way especially when a person consider future representation or will make recommendations to someone in the future. I believe this review gives an honest overview of what to expect and what to ask for more clearly when a person seeks out representation from this law firm.

He represented my business in an ad-related case that turned into a very stressful situation, and from start to finish, he handled everything with exceptional professionalism and skill. When we connected, both were professional, thoughtful, and able to engage beyond a boilerplate intake conversation. The discussion itself was substantive and strategic, which I appreciated. That said, the overall process took longer than expected, and I ultimately had to follow up to learn that we were not the right fit. For founders working on fast-moving or unconventional platforms, timing and momentum are critical. That aside, it’s clear this firm has capable attorneys who can think at altitude and handle complex matters. While alignment wasn’t there in this instance, I respect the professionalism of the individuals involved and the clarity once a decision was made.
