Monica was amazing! She was empathetic and worked with me to get what was best for my children and myself. She was always prompt in responses and has even answered occasional questions for me even though my case is complete. She is extremely well versed in family law and was well worth what I paid her. She was more cost effective than the other lawyers I had contacted about retaining....

Getting a divorce was never in my plans but it happened and I am so glad that I found Monica to represent me. The divorce was uncontested and it went smooth, so I didn’t think I would need her again but years later I did. I called her and explained what I wanted and she politely explained that’s not how things work. Monica is VERY THOROUGH! She kept me in constant communication and made sure I understood the process. Even when I thought it wasn’t going to end well, it did! She is honest, fair, listens, and above all she fights for what is right. She isn’t out for money and telling you what you want to hear like some of the other lawyers I had consulted with. I would ABSOLUTELY choose her to represent me each and every time. I have also referred her to friends and family when they are looking for a family court attorney.

Monica does have remote office, but she was always reachable by phone or e-mail, which I was fine with me. She was fair with my retainer and I never felt like she overcharged me. Getting a divorce is expensive, regardless of who your lawyer is. She was logical with me in a time when emotions are high, kept me grounded and never gave me false promises. She moved quickly when I needed her too, and always filed things promptly.
In the end I felt like she represented me appropriately, was grounded, and gave unbiased realistic advice during my process, which I needed.
She told me different options or routes to go, how much they’d likely cost while leaving the choices up to me.

I can't recommend for divorce proceedings.Never met in person, and only talked on the phone twice. All correspondence was through e-mail, that was billed hourly. I can't recommend for divorce proceedings.Never met in person, and only talked on the phone twice. All correspondence was through e-mail, that was billed hourly. I received zero legal advice, which is costing me time and money a year later. I would suggest finding an attorney that will meet with you and work for your benefit, with good advice. I think I would have done just as well with an online DIY service like rocket law, saving the $4000+ I paid to Monica for filling out and filing the forms.
