Ms. Melody Fortunato is such a great attorney she challenges anyone without fear and she is going to do her best to work hard for her clients, she is honest, she gets the job done she has a heart of gold, and she cares about her clients, she knows the law, she work by the book. I would not hesitate to recommend Miss Melody. She’s an awesome attorney who’s going to fight for your rights no matter what the fight she got you!!! Great lady with morals. And she fights with Class.

Watch out for Melody she is a scammer. She stole over $3000 from me from my retainer fee. Her staff not only neglected my case, making mistakes from motions to not giving me hearing dates. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. Melody did nothing that we agreed upon in our retainer. She was supposed to help me establish Child Support, help me receive my daughters passport, Which she did none of these things, but ran through my retainer fee only responding to the other parties motions. As a mother, I trusted Melody with my case and she took advantage of me. To tell the truth, the first time she overbilled me I wanted to leave her but had already gave her nearly a $7000 retainer. I live in Orlando and anytime I tried to meet Melody in person she would not meet with me in person. Anytime I try to travel to her office and meet her. She would come up with an excuse for why she couldn’t meet me. I asked her some legal questions about abandonment laws in Florida and she actually gave me the wrong information and told me there was no abandonment laws in Florida. I believe Melody just wanted me to stay in court so she could just steal more money from me. She had no intentions actually helping me with my case. I was just a Cash Grab for her. The two years that I’ve been with her, I’ve been harassed with treating text and call from my ex who is the other party, and his girlfriend does this this too, and Melody never got a restraining order for me even when I asked for multiple times and expressed was really hard to deal with all the emotional abuse and verbal abuse and it was making me depressed she would tell me to ignore it. While she was on my case for the two years that she was on my case, she has changed paralegals and secretaries twice. I would not recommend Melody to anyone. I have actually decided to report her to the FL Bar so they can do an investigation. Even now she’s withdrawing from my case her paralegal and her put the wrong address to send my files. Even though I have lived at my current address for over two years and her office was updated with the information when I first moved here two years ago. Her and her team are extremely unprofessional and I do think if you live in South Florida you could pop up on her then maybe she would’ve been different but I just know that Melody screwed me over and when this investigation is done, they will see all the horrible things she’s done and hold her accountable. And I look forward to that. This is a warning for any other mothers out there dealing with is abusing the courts to take you to courts, even though they don’t have any interest in being a father my ex hasn’t seen our child in six years, and Melody has done nothing with that fact.
