I am not one who typically writes reviews. I just chose not to engage with business' that don't do right by me. However, this circumstance HAS to be said. I paid Dalia Labrador $2500 as a retainer to help a friend with a court case. Dalia sent ONE email to a detective, then went MIA. My friend and I figured that the case was going no where since we were not getting any information regarding it. Cut to 3 months later, my friend was ARRESTED on A WARRANT WE HAD NO IDEA ABOUT! Maybe that wasn't Dalia's responsibility. Okay. Understandable... but when we contacted Dalia about the arrest and the upcoming court date... guess what was said... DALIA IS NO LONGER WITH GLAW Defense. DALIA has taken a position as a judge in Arapahoe District 18, AND NO LONGER WOULD BE WORKING THE CASE. We got NO notice. We had no idea that someone wasn't working the case! Her "assistant" advised in an email that she would be taking over the case, but would need an additional $2500! Wrong. Completely unprofessional. One email to a detective does not cost $2500, and further more, not relaying that she was no longer working a case that she was assigned, completely backwards in costumer service. Interesting that they have nothing but 5 star google reviews. Careful when trusting Dalia Labrador. PART 2 of the unprofessionalism of Dalia Labrador: Upon posting this initial review, Ms. Labrador finally reached out to my friend, with her only concern that she received a negative review and that her practice was made aware of her new adventure as a Judge with Arapahoe County. She advised my friend that the $2500 retainer fee was for pre trial services. The only service Ms. Labrador provided was an email to a Detective to not contact my friend. I can't believe that costed him $2500!! She also advised that a co-worker would assist my friend with the case at a discounted fee. Once I removed the original review, my friend was left in the dark yet again. Phone calls and text messages were ignored. And now we are 6 days away from court, a text explaining a busy schedule and someone else will call get us no where. We are on the hunt for a new attorney. Someone who will actually assist their client, COMMUNICATE as needed, and not rip off their clients. I wish Ms. Labrador all the best for her future as she has left my friend in total darkness and desperation of his.
