I hired Duke Truong as my divorce lawyer to prepare for my upcoming trial hearing. During our initial consultation, he bragged about his Buddhist practice to entice me to sign up for his services! After charging almost five thousand dollars in just one month, primarily for reviewing my documents and making a false promise to “get back,” he failed to deliver on his promises. He abruptly withdrew from my case just two weeks before the court hearing. He didn’t read my email thoroughly, avoided picking up his phone, and ignored my voicemail, seemingly trying to escape his shortcomings. I requested that he provide me with any documents he had prepared for my trial hearing. However, he responded to my email by claiming that he had only “scratched the surface” despite spending a whole month on my case and taking my money! It’s suspicious that some of his recent emails were automatically inaccessible. If he’s not doing anything wrong, why would he need to hide his emails?

I strongly do not recommend this attorney. Working with this firm has been deeply disappointing and highly unhelpful. Throughout the duration of my representation, no meaningful progress was made on my case. Instead, the attorney repeatedly scheduled meetings where the exact same information was discussed over and over again—despite my full case story having been provided on day one. Furthermore, there was a complete lack of attention to detail and case history. After we had already revised and fully signed updated documents, the attorney mistakenly referenced obsolete filing dates. I had to personally search through past email threads to remind them that standard updates and signed changes had already been completed. This level of disorganization, repetition, and lack of preparation is extremely unprofessional. Save your time and resources—look elsewhere for legal representation.
