John Guttridge is my hero. He was the most highly recommended Attorney for family law among many of my friends, who are lifelong residents and attorneys in the county. Went to this law firm for a simple prenup. I was told I’d have to pay for a retainer but since it was a simple document whatever wasn’t used would be returned to me. My experience was fine until I asked how they would return the money that was not used from my retainer after they sent the final invoice that showed a credit balance. Shortly after I received an email with an invoice that I owed them money for emailing the firm to ask when I could come in to sign the document. This was not on the final invoice yet had dates that were before the final invoice was sent. It’s obvious they were just trying to avoid returning the rest of my retainer and make me pay them more, which is disgusting. I will not use this firm ever again. I do not recommend anyone use them as they are clearly untrustworthy and greedy.

After a few years of being able to achieve fair and reasonable outcomes in court, the actions from my ex went quiet, and my children and I were able to have a peaceful existence for most of their high school and college years.
I am grateful for, and strongly recommend JoAnn, and John. They have a strong knowledge of family law, and how it is applied in Westchester county courts and know how to achieve a fair and reasonable outcome.
