Do not use this lawyer. A close friend recommended him after her and her husband used him years ago, but it was a nightmare. He never gives you his full attention, is always on his computer doing other things and the office area itself is completely cluttered and claustrophobic with fly ribbons covered in dead flies hanging off the ceiling. He will yell and raise his voice at you and make you feel uncomfortable and small. Then, he'll tell you you can make payments towards his attorney fee, but make sure he physically sees you make payments and demand a receipt, because he will accuse you of not paying. That's right. I paid $1000 in cash towards his fee in December after paying the entire cost of the i-130 the day that I thought it was filed in November, only to find out he never filed until the end of January. When I emailed him back asking why the receipt date was listed as January instead of November, I got no reply. And that was how things were with him. He stopped taking my calls, never answered emails or called me back only to angrily tell me that I hadn't paid him anything. When I pointed out the $1000 I paid, he seriously tried to tell me that was only enough to cover the cost of the i-130 and the cost to mail it. I gave him the dates I paid him and he put me on hold for fifteen minutes, then angrily accused me of being my husband's first wife, despite that meaning I would've been 19 at the time. Just insane. I had to contact my local Iman who contacted another man from the masjid who both tried to help, but that only caused the lawyer to yell at me since he thought I had no idea they were involved. After we had an argument over the phone, in which he accused me of not doing anything and being my husband's first wife, he dropped me as a client without returning my money or even communicating that to me, but told others in the community. Thankfully, the Iman was able to get my $1000 back, but the way my husband and I were treated was just despicable. Thanks to Mr. Imdad, my husband was deported after being detained for ten straight months as we wondered why he was kept for so long as we thought our I-130 was submitted three months before it actually was. The day I filled out the i-130, the office had actually lost my husband's files and were unable to find it. There is no filing cabinets or any kind of system, just files piled and stuffed all over the place (including in the pictures).
