Extremely Disappointed with Korte & Associates
I hired Korte & Associates to represent me during an eviction case, one of the most stressful and frightening situations my family and I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, I walked away from this experience extremely disappointed with how my case was handled.
My biggest issue with this firm was the complete lack of communication, transparency, and guidance. I hired an attorney because I needed someone who understood the legal process, would keep me informed, and would help me navigate a situation where my family's home was on the line.
Instead, I constantly felt like I was left in the dark.
Throughout the entire process, I only spoke with Glendy once. Important legal documents were uploaded to my client portal without any explanation of what they meant or what I should expect next. When I reached out with questions or concerns, I frequently received little to no response. I shouldn't have to chase down my own attorney to understand what's happening in a case this serious.
One of the most unacceptable situations involved a proposed payment arrangement of $2,000 per month. I personally went to my leasing office and discovered from the property manager that our proposal had been rejected. My own attorney's office never communicated that rejection to me. How is a client supposed to make informed decisions when critical information isn't being shared?
I was also instructed not to deposit money into the court registry, even after a judge signed an order requiring payment. Despite my concerns, I never felt that the reasoning behind this strategy or the potential consequences were adequately explained to me. Ultimately, a final judgment for possession was entered against us.
At that point, I felt I had to take matters into my own hands. I went directly to my leasing office, spoke with management, and signed a stipulation that gave us an opportunity to resolve the situation and keep our home. While the firm later stated that paperwork was filed to vacate the judgment and approve the stipulation, I was the one who personally went to the property and worked toward that agreement.
What bothers me most is that I never felt like I had an attorney fighting alongside me. I felt like I was handling this situation on my own while wondering what my attorney was actually doing behind the scenes.
I understand that legal cases are complicated and that attorneys cannot guarantee results. But communication, professionalism, and keeping clients informed should be the bare minimum, especially when someone's home is at stake.
I didn't expect miracles. I expected guidance, communication, and someone who would take my concerns seriously.
In my opinion, Korte & Associates fell far short of those expectations.
This experience left me feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unsupported during a time when I needed legal representation the most.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this firm to anyone dealing with an eviction or another serious legal matter. Trust their 3.8 rating. They deserved it.
After talking to assistant Brian twice and providing all requested info, I never heard back from them. The website is informative and ambitious, but the attorney is questionable.
