I've been in law enforcement my entire life, and wary of some lawyers (defense attorneys). Folks I attend church with were using semi-retired Mr. Mabon and recommended him for his very reasonable fees for wills and trusts. I did a little background research, and he apparently was previously a very successful international corporate attorney. I found him to be very pleasant and professional upon contacting him to update the wills for me and my wife. After a brief conversation, he emailed fourteen documents for us to review (trust, healthcare power of attorney, etc.) I promptly returned the documents along with information requested and expected that the "somewhat retired" lawyer would get to it at his convenience. I was wrong; this guy hits the ground running and within days had us in his office getting signatures notarized by witnesses he provided at no cost to me (to my surprise, one of them was a retired attorney friend from my church). Mr. Mabon encouraged me to contact him regarding any questions but he was so thorough, I had few. The icing on the cake was writing his check; Mabon charged me far less than I anticipated. Needless to say, I highly recommend James Mabon.
