I gave Mr. Melnyk two stars because the communication before the outcome of the case was good. However, my experience changed once the matter was resolved. We paid $950 for representation on a speeding citation and an Out of Service citation. He was able to get the speeding ticket reduced down to 1–10 mph over. However, the Out of Service citation was not reduced, and his final email stated, “Unfortunately the officer was not willing to help with the Out of Service ticket.” I understand that an attorney cannot guarantee a particular result, and my issue is not simply that the Out of Service citation was not reduced. My concern is the lack of communication afterward. After paying what I consider an unusually high attorney’s fee of $950 for representation on these two traffic citations, I expected to at least receive an explanation of what was presented on my client’s behalf, what arguments or mitigating circumstances were raised, and what response was received regarding the Out of Service citation. I followed up specifically asking for that information, as well as the amount of the remaining fine and whether an extension could be requested for payment. I never received a response. For the amount paid, I expected better follow-up and a clearer explanation of the representation provided after the case concluded.

I can't recommend them enough. I had a traffic citation that several other law firms told me couldn't be reduced or dismissed, so I almost gave up looking for help. He was the only one willing to take on my case, and he ended up getting it fully dismissed with no points on my license. Throughout the process, his communication was excellent — he kept me updated, answered my questions quickly, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. On top of that, his fee was very reasonable, especially considering the outcome. If you're dealing with a traffic ticket and other lawyers are telling you it's a lost cause, do yourself a favor and reach out to him first. Extremely grateful for his help!
