THIS IS A SCAM!!!
I received multiple flyers from Metalo Group in my mailbox regarding the apartment building where I live, claiming that residents may be entitled to $10,000 due to an alleged ICRAA privacy violation related to their apartment application.
I called their office to understand why I was receiving these flyers, how they got my apartment information, and how they supposedly knew that I had not consented to a background check. The person who answered was extremely rude and could not give me any clear answers. She kept repeating that a background check had been run without my consent, but when I asked how they knew that or how they knew a background check had been conducted, she would not explain. She was more interested in getting my name and phone number. When I kept asking questions, she said someone from her team would provide more information and then hung up on me.
After the call, I looked them up online and noticed they don't even have an address listed on Google. I also found other reviews from people describing very similar experiences, where these flyers were sent to their apartment buildings, the company asked for their personal information, and then nothing happened afterward.
At this point, the whole thing looks extremely suspicious and scam-like. If you're going to send residents flyers claiming they may be entitled to $10,000 because of a privacy violation, you should at least be able to clearly explain what happened, why you're contacting them, and how you obtained their information. Asking for personal information while refusing to answer basic questions and then hanging up is completely unprofessional.
I’ve worked with Meta Law Group on 2 different cases now and I would definitely recommend them! They work really hard and refuse to settle for less than what is deserved. Thanks again!
I was part of a case with meta law on my side and would definitely hire them again. Communication was clear and they were very responsive. I would recommend them to friends.
