Ted Knauss abandoned us and is now closed due to being a fraud. Still continues to send out bills. See below: Marion E. Ted Knauss abandoned us and is now closed due to being a fraud. Still continues to send out bills. See below:
Marion E. Knauss (WSBA No. 9668, admitted 1980) of Port Hadlock, WA, resigned in lieu of discipline, effective 10/08/2025. The lawyer agrees that they are aware of the alleged misconduct in disciplinary counsel’s Statement of Alleged Misconduct and rather than defend against the allegations, they wish to permanently resign from membership in the Association. Benjamin Attanasio acted as disciplinary counsel. Marion (Ted) E. Knauss represented themselves.
The Statement of Alleged Misconduct reflects the following violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct: 1.15A (Safeguarding Property), 8.4(b) (Criminal Act) and 8.4(c) (Dishonesty, Fraud, Deceit or Misrepresentation).
Knauss’ alleged misconduct includes taking funds from a client’s trust for the Respondent own purposes.

Our relatives hired Ted Knauss to administer their wills. Shamefully, it’s been almost a year now since they died and Mr. Knauss is not returning calls, emails or letters. I wish they had never hired him. Can’t say I have delt with a worse attorney and he is supposed to specialize in this area. To say our family is upset is an understatement. I do not recommend at all. UPDATE : It's been well over 2 years now and Ted Knauss has still not closed their estate. He is in his 80's, wondering if he is no longer competent or worse. He has ignored two months of messages. Absolutely terrible service.

Had a horrible experience with this law firm. They are very unprofessional and have a sleazy appearance in the court room. Difficult to work with and make a poor representation. Would not recommend.
